While ALTA Physical Therapy is in-network with some health insurance companies, we have been out-of-network with many companies for a while and have recently opted out of several more. Accepting insurance capitation (maximum) rates for physical therapy services results in a 30-40% decrease in revenue. Some PT clinics accept low rates of reimbursement and cut back on one-on-one time with patients to compensate for decreased income. Others use aides more than therapists to provide care. Because we will not compromise on 45 minute sessions or expert attention to your needs, we currently cannot accept many insurance contracts and still be viable. Essentially, you get what you pay for.

We can bill as an out-of-network provider for you, if your plan allows it, subject to your out-of-network benefits. Often, it is less costly for patients with high deductibles to use our self-pay option.

Patients who choose to come to ALTA benefit from high quality care. Our therapists average 20 years of clinical experience and continue to take courses to expand their knowledge and proficiency. ALTA has a team approach to therapy; perhaps one treatment will focus on functional movement exercises, and the next treatment will involve another therapist treating with Trigger Point Dry Needling. ALTA prides itself on a critical thinking and problem solving approach to your health. You will receive the best of all that we offer.

If you are just beginning your search for a physical therapist, or if you are frustrated with a lack of progress, please consider coming to ALTA. It may cost you a bit more than if you stayed within your health insurance network, but it will be well worth it for the excellent treatment you receive.
